Chenmark Holdings is a team of small businesses committed to each other and to the constant pursuit of better. We work with retiring owners and current entrepreneurs to provide liquidity, preserve legacies, and position companies for long-term success. Chenmark companies share a commitment to our core values of: Chasing Better, Keeping Score, Playing the Long Game, and Putting the Team First.
Chenmark employees maintain a passion for small business, a significant competitive drive, a willingness to grind, and a deep desire to have a tangible impact on employees, customers, and the community at large.
Chenmark is currently seeking a Generalist Vice President (GVP). The GVP is a management track position that evolves over three stages. Successful GVPs can expect to spend 12-24 months working with Chenmark and our operating companies in a consultative role, followed by assuming a senior operating role at one of our businesses. The best performers will then earn the chance to become the CEO of a Chenmark operating company as we steadily add additional businesses to our platform over the long term.
GVP: This stage provides the GVP with the chance to work directly with our leadership team in Portland, ME. In this stage, the GVP's time is split between deal sourcing and M&A work for Chenmark Holdings, along with working through a constantly varied mix of challenges for Chenmark's operating companies related to sales, operations, HR, finance, and technology, among others.
SLT: This stage provides the GVP with the opportunity to step into a senior leadership role at one of Chenmark's companies, working and learning alongside the CEO. This direct operating responsibility, and exposure to small business management creates an ideal training ground for future CEOs at Chenmark.
CEO: This stage will provide top GVP performers the opportunity to assume the role of CEO of a Chenmark operating company.
