Summary: This role will serve as a resource for the Champion manufacturing locations to provide support for the completion of standardized bills of material to comply with the format required by a configure to order system. They will assist with both loading the information into Oracle and performing any future bill of material maintenance required in Oracle. Maintaining and assisting in the documentation of best practices for an Oracle manual to serve as the primary reference for training and guidance on bill of material questions will be a key focus. The ability to travel to provide onsite training and assistance when necessary will be essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a manual for bill of material creation that will serve as a guide to both new and existing employees, enforcing the use of standard methods and best practices to create bills of material that support a configure to order product template for each model.
  • Assist in the review and completion of model configure to order product templates and the loading of the information into Oracle, following established steps and validation requirements outlined.
  • Assist individual manufacturing plants as they transition from Navision to Oracle and provide ongoing support when the transition is complete.
  • Provide first level Oracle bill of material support for issues that do not require IT intervention.
  • Assist with providing information needed to prepare status reports and perform data reviews to ensure plant bills of material, pricing and margin analysis are accurate.
  • Document issues raised by the manufacturing costing teams and assist in finding solutions or identifying potential process changes that may be required.
  • Assist in feasibility studies, implementation strategies, and testing for future Oracle projects that may arise.

  • Must have attention to detail and the ability to research and problem solve, devise solutions and recommendations, and report on findings.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a minimum of 2 years related experience in accounting, engineering, purchasing or construction in a manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Experience related to factory-built housing with an emphasis on structures built to HUD and various modular and commercial construction codes, is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle, Navision or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Location and travel:

This position will be based at the Corporate Office in Troy, MI or Elkhart, IN. The selected candidate will need to be able to provide training and the implementation of best practices both on site at our US manufacturing locations and through remote sessions. This position will require approximately 25% travel.
