Dynamic Opportunity~ As a full-time employee, working 40 hour per week, a Team Leader/Senior Residence Counselor is Supervises all aspects of the environment of care for designated group home and handles day to day needs of consumer residents.
The Guidance Center~ is a primary mental health support agency, providing compassionate, professional care for individuals and families with mental health needs in the greater Cumberland County, NJ area. For more than 50 years, our non-profit organization of professionals, doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, has assisted the community in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of mental illness.
What does this position look like~ A Team Leader/Residence Senior Counselor maintains appropriate staffing patterns to ensure 24 hour supervision. Oversees proper distribution of client personal needs allowance funds under supervision of Residential Services Coordinator and Residential Director. Coordinates client appointments with Residential RN. Schedules and oversees monthly client and staff house meetings, provides needed training or review of procedures during staff meetings.
What you need to apply~
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a related field or 5 years of proven experience in a residential setting or 5 years proven supervisory experience in the Human Services field.
- Knowledge of and experience with the SPMI population preferred.
- Valid automobile driver's license with MVR which meets agency standards.
