Primary Focus

The Contracts Administrator responsible for the overall success of the organization by administrating, analyzing, managing and supporting proposals, contracts, subcontracts, and associated projects. Prepares, reviews, analysis and files contract documents and reports for the management of proposals and contracts. Developes and manages schedules, action items and calendars to track projects and contractual deadlines. . Maintains business documentation, electronic files and project information. Maintains communication with written and verbal briefs and documents. Self-starter with the ability to problem solve and learn new tasks and skills. All duties and responsibilities performed in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Cayuse.


  • Acting as point person for collaboration with the collection of information, feedback and approvals from stakeholders (e.g.Capture, Proposals, PM, PMO, Finance, Operations, Security, Human Resources) during the contracting process
  • Understand and document business processes, workflows, and associated systems and improve processes
  • Participating in substantive negotiations and business calls
  • Apply problem solving methodologies and recommend solutions
  • Providing input into and executing contracting strategy
  • Identifying and escalating potential risks
  • Respond to contractual questions from clients (internal and external)
  • Providing contract interpretation to internal clients
  • Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations
  • Manage electronic file system; ensuring final copies of agreements/documents are saved and filed properly
  • Draft, review, proofread and process documents and agreements
  • Self-monitor schedules, deadlines and calendars to keep tasks on track and on time
  • Maintain contract documents to keep them up to date and organized
  • Use knowledge, skills and abilities to review, interpret problems and situations to develop plans of action
  • Work in a team environment to ensure tasks are reviewed and approved
  • Maintain confidentiality of all agreements and business strategies
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's)

Education / Experience

  • Government contracting knowledge and procurement experience for services contracts
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in business, accounting, public administration, political science
    • Education requirement may be substituted with a minimum 3 years of business experience
  • General business knowledge
  • 3+ years of experience in a business office and remote office environment
  • Procurement experience

Technical Knowledge

  • Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • ERP Systems, Accounting systems
  • CostPoint 7 or 8, preferred
  • Problem Solving
  • Analysis of data and documents
  • Remote work environment

Reports to: Managing Director- Contracts & Compliance

Works with: Contracts Team, Gov. Business Unit Leadership, Gov. Business Units, PMO, Program Managers, Capture, Proposals, Cayuse Shared Services, external teaming partners, Gov. Contracting POCs and other Gov. Business Unit stakeholders.
