We are seeking a Mate to fill the position onboard RSC-2. The Mate reports directly to the Captain and is trained to take command in absence of the Captain. The First Mate will be trained and qualified to assume overall responsibility for the safety of the RSC-2, equipment, and embarked personnel.


The First Mate is expected to maintain the boat and crew should the Captain become incapacitated. During normal operations the Mate is in charge of all Able Bodied Seamen working on the main deck. The Mate is in charge of all deck operations for all evolutions. The Mate will replace the Captain on normal routine watch standing.

The First Mate, while on watch or in the absence of the Captain is ultimately responsible for the safety of the crew, the material condition of the vessel, and will immediately report any change in Mission Capability of the RSC-2 to the PMRF Okinawa Representative so appropriate action can be taken and to evaluate if Mission Support will be affected.


  • US Coast Guard (USCG) 500-Ton near Ocean First Mate license
  • Secret Clearance
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug check
  • Must pass background check


  • Must possess the ability to work in any condition like bending, twisting, and standing to execute normal job duties.
