SUMMARY:

The IT Support Technician is responsible for deploying a variety of network infrastructure equipment, working with telecommunications carriers, provisioning connectivity into client offices, and generating, updating, and maintaining documentation and network diagrams. All duties and responsibilities performed in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Cayuse.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interacting with project stakeholders and designing solutions to meet their
  • Provide network engineering and technical services to our Federal Government client in a fast-paced and dynamic
  • Maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service
  • Ability to analyze and resolve computer network problems
  • Provide technology support
  • Enforce technology standards, procedures, and
  • Ensure network security by maintaining network accounts
  • Add network connections to multiple flavors of existing
  • Architecting and implementing the solution as well as procuring equipment through federal acquisition
  • Strict adherence to all security related
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience installing/ implementing networks and infrastructure interpreting design drawings
  • Minimum of 3 years troubleshooting and maintain routing/ switching protocols
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience implementing and troubleshooting IPSec and GRE tunnels
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience producing technical drawings with Microsoft Visio
  • Familiarity/Experience with DMVPN
  • Enterprise experience with OSPF (multi-area), preferred
  • Experience with Cisco IOS-XE / Cisco ASR routers, preferred
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus switches (NX-OS), preferred
  • Experience with Cisco Voice-over-IP (VoIP) solutions, including Cisco Call Manager Express and Cisco Unity Express, preferred
  • Experience with Cisco 2900 and 3900 routers, and 2960X and 3750X switches

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of CCNA-RS/CCNA-Security
  • Exposure to Avaya enterprise phone systems, particularly Avaya VoIP implementations
  • Solid understanding of operation of VoIP and video collaboration services and protocols
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to react to change requests from customers in an effective manner
  • Proven record of learning and adapting new technologies
  • Time management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both stakeholders and technical
  • Solid oral and written communication skills that can be adapted to both the technical, and administrator
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
