YOUR LIFE AS A PROGRAM SERVICES Supervisor
As a Program Services Supervisor, you play an essential role in overseeing the daily operations of an assigned residential program. You ensure the program complies with state rules and regulations as well as meets the individual needs of each person it serves. Each day, you respectfully interact with individuals with developmental disabilities, making sure they are treated as adults by encouraging them to make their own personal choices. You implement objectives as outlined in the individual service plan (ISP) as well as assist individuals when necessary to meet their personal needs which can include lifting individuals in and out of wheelchairs, repositioning, and helping with self-hygiene.
Closely following our set procedures, you administer medications and complete the necessary documentation that goes along with it. You provide support to individuals by promoting participation in the community to help them gain new experiences as well as assisting them with the care and maintenance of their personal property. Safety is of the utmost importance, and you take great care to ensure that the well-being of individuals in your care is a top priority, including when in and around company vehicles. In addition, you closely communicate with your co-workers, supervisors, residents, and family members when needed while always maintaining a respectful and friendly demeanor.
You also respond to internal and external customers in a timely and proactive manner. Using your exceptional organizational skills, you respond to emails and voicemails as well as maintain our schedules and attend any necessary meetings. You advocate for large-scale goals that benefit our organization as a whole and communicate any important corporate decisions to your team in a detailed and positive manner. Providing a trusting atmosphere that encourages creativity and teamwork matters to you, and you use your strong leadership skills to ensure your team upholds these values and feels comfortable. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of working with persons with developmental disabilities
- 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to become a company driver
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test upon hire
- Strong English language skills
- Leadership skills
