We are expanding team and seek a Junior Accountant. The position is responsible for various accounting operations tasks covering accounts payable, vendor relations, maintaining the general ledger and other accounting-related tasks. This will work with the internal Accounting/Finance team and external clients, brokers and vendors on a daily basis.

  • Accurately reviews, codes, and process vendor invoices
  • Process due invoices for payments
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Manage the purchase order process including review and approval
  • Review expense reimbursement submissions in accordance with company policy
  • Prepare monthly accounting reports and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts
  • Assist with the month end close process
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes
  • Assist with preparation of year-end accounting information
  • Assist with preparation of materials for periodic audits
  • Perform other tasks on projects as needed/assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting and 2+ years' experience in a relatable field
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Above average technical skills in Excel
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills
  • Above average communication skills
  • Detail oriented with proven accuracy dealing with numbers
  • Reliable and motivated to perform the job accurately and in a timely fashion
