BANYAN DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

The Desktop Support Technician assists in the daily information technology (IT) operations for Banyan. They provide systems support for end users, complete support tasks for hardware devices and software packages, help with installation setups, and revise existing documentation guidelines. Other functions may include providing training for teams in other departments, answering technology questions as needed, completing administrative tasks when required, and filling out documentation when requesting new inventory.

During down times, The Banyan Desktop Support Technician will refine MOP's and Polices as they relate to the position, test, maintain, and harden workstation thru Intune/Autopilot process and hands on, as well as work with the Banyan Systems Administrator and Help Desk on task completions as needed.

Banyan Desktop Support Technician | Responsibilities Knowledge, and Skill Requirements

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining workstations and mobile devices
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and managing Windows Servers and related Services
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and managing LANs/WANs/WLANs
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and managing Telecom Systems
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining CCTV and physical security systems
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, managing training on Electronic Logging Devices
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, maintaining, and training on Office 365 Applications
  • Work with Staff to complete support tickets and special projects in a timely manner
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining and updating in-house Database applications.
  • Provide onsite and remote assistance for Omaha offices.
  • Assist in the resolution of client requests or issue reports
  • Perform on-site preventative and break-fix support for BMS customer base
  • Participate in process / continuous improvement efforts
  • Data analytics and or reporting
  • Inventory management · Manage the short and long-range planning process for technology solutions.
  • Provide 'on-call' support outside of normal work hours for critical system support and system maintenance as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • May be asked to assist in installation, integration, and configuration of client solutions.
  • May be asked to assist in the testing and troubleshooting of cable · May be asked to help run new cabling in new or existing buildings.
  • May be responsible for configuration, installing or supporting audio and video equipment.
  • Participate/assist in the development and maintenance of Banyan's Quality Management System

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum associate degree or equivalent technical training in relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in a domain workstation environment.
  • Industry Certifications preferred, CompTIA A+ Network+ Server+ Cloud+

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 40-65 lbs.
  • Able to lift items while on a ladder and be on ladder for extended periods of time.
  • Able to work in confined spaces if necessary.
