Fleet Administrator

Position Summary and Essential Functions:

As AHS's Fleet Administrator you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our company's fleet of vehicles. You will report to the Facilities Manager. You will ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained, assist internal AHS departments in scheduling regular maintenance appointments and will help coordinate emergency repairs if any of the vehicles encounter problems on the road. You will assist departments in coordinating with third party vendors to arrange maintenance and repair services for vehicles. You will communicate between departments and the repair and maintenance vendors regarding service appointments for each vehicle. You will also be tasked with developing new policies or procedures that will establish standards. You will maintain a fleet inventory spreadsheet of all vehicles owned by the company. You will work with our accounting team to ensure that all company vehicles are insured and oversee and maintain all AZDOT vehicle registration and emissions testing. You will use the Enterprise Fleet Management dashboard as a tool in overseeing and maintaining our vehicle fleet. Pay starts at $18.00 hourly.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education / Certifications / Licenses:

  • High school diploma / GED preferred
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to be on your feet the majority of the day.

Training & Experience: As AHS's Vehicle Fleet Administrator you will receive on-the-job training to learn the company's policies and procedures, as well as the software and technology needed to fulfill the duties.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Language - Able to speak, read, write and understand English, Spanish preferred.

Mathematical - Basic

Technical - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and able to learn other software programs as necessary.

Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:

Knowledge of, or interest in, vehicle repair and maintenance helpful but not required. Ability to Multi-Task. Great Time Management Skills. Strong Communication Skills. Goal-Oriented. Patient & Flexible. Strong Decision Making. People Person. Accountable. Regular attendance and punctuality required.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, have dexterity to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander. Time is divided between typical air conditioned and heated office environments and the outdoors.
