As an Operations Manager, you will support the leadership team by performing functional tasks as assigned. You will act as a mentor and role model to employees to support service behaviors and the execution of tasks in specific areas of expertise. You will focus on leading processes and/or areas of the business, executing tasks and maintaining productivity to ensure goals are met. Through collaboration with your leadership team, your goal is to teach and coach your team and drive behaviors to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

What You'll Do.

  • Oversee the selling and service processes; provide leadership and motivation to team in achieving sales goals, drive omni-channel growth and execution of company initiatives
  • Oversee and manage Merchandise Logistics, Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Compliance with operational standards and processes
  • Manage a diverse team that is responsible for a wide range of processes
  • In partnership with the merchandise team, ensure that merchandise is received and processed in accordance with continuous flow principles, that new shipments are on the floor in store or appropriately stored in the warehouse on the day of receipt, RTVs and transfers are processed efficiently, and back of the house areas are organized and maintained to support the selling floor and e-commerce activities
  • Ensures that all appropriate merchandise controls are in place and monitors compliance
  • Oversee the return desk execution in partnership with the Customer Service Manager
  • Identifies trends and assess opportunities to improve processes and execution
  • Responsible for developing, reviewing and implementing operational policies and procedures in the organization in collaboration with senior management
  • Provide leadership to the store location management and associates ensuring that critical support functions are focused on and enable the selling process
  • Maintain emphasis on adherence to customer service standards and ensures that back of the house and front of the house associates have the resources to provide exceptional service and exceed customer expectations
  • Develop direct reports to effectively handle operational activities in order to maintain focus on selling activities
  • In collaboration with the Human Resource department, ensure all New-hires are onboarded to standard
  • In collaboration with the Human Resource department, maintain a pipeline of qualified support candidates for openings, and works to effectively minimize the time required to fill open positions
  • Be responsible for achievement of sales, controllable profit, EBITDA, payroll management, P&L performance, email capture rate, shipping process, etc
  • Promote the company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing for specific projects at the direction of the company's COO
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of retail management experience in a similar role; prior experience in a startup environment is a plus!
  • Proficient shipping and receiving experience
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong POS and phone systems knowledge
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Must work well under pressure and have the ability to multi-task with accuracy
  • Acute interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Demonstrated project management and process excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to be a positive, proactive, solutions-oriented and a top contributor in a creative environment
  • Ability to lift between 0-25 lbs. without assistance
