The HR Manager is responsible for full service human resources management for both hourly and salaried employees. In this position, you will serve as the primary HR contact for all employees delivering an exceptional, high-touch HR partnership. In addition to providing highly engaging experiences to our team members, you will be responsible for the "hands-on" day-to-day HR management activities including but not limited to payroll, full cycle recruiting, employee relations, benefits support, compliance, training and development and engagement activities.

Essential Responsibilities of the role include...

  • Handle all HR related matters- internal and external
  • Oversee the company's hiring and recruitment process including but not limited to posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes and screening applicants
  • Use the company's HR software to manage on-boarding, payroll and employee benefits, including leaves and paid time off
  • Manage the company's on-boarding process ensuring all new hire documents and required background checks are complete
  • Coordinate employee satisfaction surveys and give actionable insights to improve employees' experience
  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees and manage each situation appropriately
  • Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees' safety; update HR policies and procedures as needed
  • Support department managers with employee relations issues and navigating the performance management process
  • Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relations
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data
  • Creating on-boarding plans, facilitate new hire orientation and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
  • Manage the organization's employee database and prepare reports
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity to senior management
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements and conducting investigations
  • Arrange seminars, workshops, additional HR training, and employee engagement activities based on each department's needs and company's budget
  • Develop HR initiatives that are aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

Skills, Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Business Management or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Manager position or a similar role
  • Strong planning, organizing, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and with integrity with all staff
  • Ability to self-manage projects from start to finish, with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to cultivate trust through competence, reliability, honesty, integrity, respect for others, positivity, and thoughtfully listening
  • Capable of building sustainable relationships
  • Advanced technical skills and ability to operate various computer programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Canva skills are a plus
  • Knowledgeable of Labor and Employment laws with the capacity to learn multi-state laws, rules and regulations
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred
