This position is able to support a company-paid relocation package to any selected candidates currently outside of the Dallas - Fort Worth area.
Position Summary:
The Avionics Electrical Architect (Systems Architect) level III will actively participate to Specify, Design, Integrate and Certify architecture and system functions on a variety of programs and on multiple platforms (mainly H125, H130, H135, H145 and H160).
On those programs, s/he will specify, control and certify the global architecture which covers the analysis of the avionics elements including interfaces with Vehicle systems, transverse functions, and interfaces with mission sub-systems in order to secure major system architecture choices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Avionics Electrical system architecture and definition : 60%
- Define system architecture and function solutions in accordance with engineering operation requirements as elaborated during offer phases to meet customer, airworthiness, general engineering standards and company requirements.
- Design, integrate and approve the defined solutions
- Validate design solutions by implementing simulation, modeling, predictive tools
- Define and approve verification methods (analysis, tests...), elaborate verification program including general engineering aspects such as Function Hazardous Analysis, EMI:EMC, general environment, vibrations, thermal analysis (list not limited) and deliver the verification results to Airworthiness team
- Coordinate with test center to define the test intention and expected test results
- Optimize design solution to maximize the reuse of existing solutions
Electrical integration activities : 30%
- Design, develop, and review technical documents and engineering drawings needed to integrate avionics and electrical equipment, and their associated interfaces
Certification activities : 10%
- Develop the Certification Package (Cert Plan, CCL, and CIP) for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with UM data and drawing review, UM evaluation, and UM approval activities for assigned project.

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience

- Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or equivalent experience

- Minimum ten (10)+ years of experience in avionics system architecture/design. Must also be experienced with following systems: Glass cockpit, Radio navigation, Radio Communication and Moving map

- Onsite: 100% except when on travel.
- Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Required daily.
- Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Required daily.
