Job Title: Air Force - National / Global Account Manager

Location: Remote: Any location in the United States

Purpose: Our Mission at ADS Inc. is to actively seek our customers' equipment and logistical challenges and deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions. As we focus on growing our business, our Business Development Managers are responsible for traveling to their assigned regions, building relationships with customers, and meeting with the top manufacturers in the DoD industry. As the ADS Air Force National / Global Account Manager, you will be given all the tools to become an expert at providing procurement guidance and suggesting the best equipment on the market to better equip the warfighter, so every hero comes home.

Job Functions: While continually learning, collaborating, and partnering with all your Air Force National/Global team members, together you will drive sales and company growth. You will become the primary contact at ADS for all Air Force National / Global related business in the your assigned region. While on the road, you will develop relationships with government customers at all levels: end users, supply officers, CPOs, etc. while creatively addressing your customers problems, building custom solutions, and being their true resource through the acquisition process.

This position is a High-Level Business Development Representative responsible for below and is a post sales management level position!

As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for...

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all things within a Vertical
  • Proactively identify trends and shapes multi-year strategy
  • Assess vertical potential, track people and base movement, budgets
  • Expand relationships with large, multi-location customers (deeper / wider)
  • Achieve annual margin goal and assigned strategic account objectives for focus customer base (including whitespace)
  • Focus on major locations while coordinating with field sellers assigned to the customers' locations
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support and management resources to develop solutions that best address customer needs, including services, products and procurement vehicles
  • Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period
  • Develop relationships and agreements with external resources, such as key Vertical suppliers, associations and consultants
  • Coordinate marketing plans for whitespace customer development
  • Co-develop and deliver aligned Vertical Training for sales

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of business development experience with a track record of capture and program management within the Air Force Program Offices
  • 10+ years of experience with US Government contracting and acquisition
  • 5+ years of experience using Salesforce, Oracle, Sales Portal, Tableau and Business Analytics software
  • Broad, exceptional understanding of Air Force customers, operations, and requirements coupled with a of key industry supplier relationships
  • Extensive defense business development experience with a track record of capture and program management within the Air Force Market
  • Strong understanding of ADS Contract Vehicles
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to easily communicate complex ideas, issues and designs to a diverse audience
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; equivalent experience at ADS or military may be acceptable upon hiring managers discretion
  • Prior experience in management or leadership role is required
