Kansas Children's Service League of Garden City, KS is looking for a full-time KEHS Paraprofessional to help our Head Start teachers in classrooms and families with any concerns or needs. This full-time Teacher's Aide position earns a competitive wage of $11/ hour, that is dependent on experience. - Completed high School Diploma or equivalent
- Willing to obtain Child Development Associate within 2 years after start date
- Current Driver's License and current auto insurance
- Fluent bilingual communicator in English and Spanish
OUR IDEAL KEHS PARAPROFESSIONAL
Our ideal teacher's aide preferably has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, at least two years of experience in Early Childhood programs, and childcare or educational experience with young children!
THE DAY TO DAY
In this KEHS Paraprofessional role, we rely on you to maintain a passion and enthusiasm for the growth and development of children as you effectively support and assist our Head Start teachers. Much of your time is spent collaborating with teachers about how to best serve the children in your care. This includes how to best assist children, completing paperwork, lesson plans, and/or tracking. You are always happy to lend a hand when it comes to taking care of the classroom. From cleaning to proper arrangement of learning activities materials, you take a hands-on approach to your role, and enjoy being a part of every step of the process. No matter where our kids are at, from the playground to the classroom or bus, you make it a top priority to ensure our kids are comfortable and safe in our care!
Typically, our full-time KEHS Paraprofessional offers valuable assistance Monday through Friday during business hours. Your day is never boring, and you take joy in seeing smiling faces every day!
