A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PET GROOMER

As a Pet Groomer, you are responsible for providing high-end grooming services to each pet. You receive detailed instructions from our clients regarding what style and length of haircut they would like as well. You also groom using breed-specific styles. As you groom, you handle each animal with care and are intimately aware of the condition of each dog's coat and skin. This also helps you provide updates to owners as needed. You comb, clip, and trim according to your directions. You also bathe and completely dry each dog using a towel and forced air dryer (please note we do not use cage dryers). Between each session and at the end of the day, you tidy and sanitize your workspace. You love spending time with our adorable pet clients and feel good about reducing the amount of time clients have to wait for an appointment!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PET GROOMER

Personal grooming tools (we provide tubs, tables, dryers, shampoo, and conditioner
Diploma from an accredited grooming school OR 3+ years of professional grooming experience
Experience completing breed-specific cuts
Proficiency with both electric clippers and grooming shears
Ability to use verbal or physical cues to calm anxious animals

WORK SCHEDULE

This grooming position is full-time and typically works 5 days each week from 8 AM to 4 PM. Weekend availability is a must.
