The Harvard Business Review recently published an article entitled “Why Women Don’t Apply for Jobs Unless They’re 100% Qualified” which helps identify some self-imposed setbacks women experience in the workforce. These perceived limitations discourage women from applying for the jobs they want and instead settle for the jobs that they are sure they can get.

This situation is even worse for women who have taken time off to start or raise a family and now wish to get back to work. Many end up settling for a lower level job, at a lower pay rate, simply because they don’t know how to go about getting the type of job that they have the potential of excelling at.
